Cristina Martínez-Álvarez is a PhD student at Szkoła Doktorska Anthropos in the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnology (Polish Academy of Sciences) in Warsaw and member of the research group "Identity, Society and Territory of the Western Mediterranean (6th-16th centuries)" of the University of Granada. This research is under development and is entitled “Islamization in kūra of Ilbīra (Al-Andalus). Comparative study on pottery production and distribution in the Early islamic period in south-east Iberian Peninsula”.
